Salvation: Deliverance, Covenant, and True Lordship

Salvation is more than a prayer. It is more than believing in your head that Jesus exists. Even the demons believe -- and shudder (James 2:19). True salvation is a covenant -- a life-altering decision to confess Jesus as Lord and commit your faith to the truth that God raised Him from the dead.

Romans 10:9-10 lays it out clearly. Confess and believe -- not as head knowledge, but as a complete surrender. A 180-degree turn away from sin, self, and the world, walking fully toward Christ.

Salvation delivers you from lostness, God's wrath, spiritual ignorance, and eternal death. It rescues you from the second death and transfers you into the kingdom of His Son (Colossians 1:13).
