Not By Works: The Stumbling Block and the Only Way

Are you working your way to God, or trusting your way to Him? There is a difference, and it matters eternally. Romans 9:24-10:4 makes it clear: salvation is not found in keeping the law, maintaining the right traditions, or doing enough good things. It is found in Jesus alone.

The Jews had zeal, religion, and bloodline — and still missed God because Jesus became a stumbling block to them. The same danger exists for us today. Your why matters. Are your works flowing out of love for Jesus, or are you using them to earn Him?

As Jesus declared in John 14:6, He is the only way to the Father. Not church attendance. Not ministry. Not tithes. Jesus, and Jesus alone. If Christ is not your reason, Galatians 5:4 warns that He becomes of no effect to you.

Choose today — repent or reject. The choice is yours.
