The Seriousness of Sin and the Abundance of Grace

We need to have an honest conversation about the human heart. Scripture tells us plainly in Jeremiah 17:9 that our hearts are "deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked." This isn't popular, but it's Truth. We can't justify sin by saying someone "had a good heart" or was "a good person" when God's Word says otherwise.

Here's the incredible news: while death entered through one man's sin (Adam), LIFE entered through one man's obedience (Jesus Christ)! God's grace is limitless, but that doesn't give us permission to live comfortably in sin. We will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ and answer for how we lived.

The real question this morning is simple: Where are you? Are you standing through Christ against sin, or living in sin and rejecting Christ? God refuses to leave us in our sin—He offers us a choice: Jesus or hell. It really is that simple.
